To ensure accuracy and reduce waste, we often send you a digital proof for approval before anything is sent to print. Let us know if there are any changes that need to be made, or if the item is approved for production.

If the digital proof is of a file we created or edited, it will often have a watermark. Don’t worry, this won’t appear on the final printed item.

When you receive a digital proof from us, please review the content carefully before giving your approval. This includes all text, images, and layout. Now is the time to make any changes. Once a proof is approved and sent to print, we’re not liable for any mistakes on the final item.

When approving a proof, we prefer something like “This is approved for print” to avoid any miscommunication. We will interpret “Looks good” or “Let’s go ahead with this” as approval. You’ve been warned!

Printed proofs

You may request a printed sample, often called a printed proof or hard proof, to ensure things like the size or colours are what you are expecting. While we do offer this service, we must charge for it. The cost is dependent on the item being produced. Unfortunately, there are certain items where it is not feasible to make a sample. Just like a digital proof, a printed proof requires your approval before we proceed to production.
